นิทรรศการ 太平成世 { Peace and Prosperity } เกิดจากความตั้งใจของศิลปินไร้นาม ‘Noboy but Hong Kong’ ที่ต้องการเผยแพร่ผลงานศิลปะชุดนี้ต่อสาธารณะ แต่ผลงานไม่สามารถจัดแสดงที่ฮ่องกงได้เพราะเนื้อหาที่ละเอียดอ่อนต่อสถานการณ์การเมืองและอาจถูกรัฐดำเนินคดีในการเซ็นเซอร์เนื้อหา
Book Re:public , กลุ่ม Artn’t และศิลปินไร้นาม ‘Noboy but Hong Kong’ จึง ได้ร่วมมือกันนำผลงานชุดนี้ มาเรียบเรียงและจัดแสดงไปพร้อมกับผลงานศิลปะบางส่วนจากกลุ่ม Artn’t ที่เชียงใหม่ ที่ร้านกาแฟ Brewgining ถ.ช้างม่อย ซึ่งจัดแสดงตั้งแต่วันที่ 9 สิงหาคม จนไปถึงวันที่ 21 สิงหาคมนี้
ในงานวันเปิดศิลปินจาก กลุ่ม Arn’t รับหน้าที่เป็น Curator ได้มาพูดคุยถึงการกระบวนทำงาน ที่มาที่ไปของผลงานชุด Peace and Prosperity รวมไปถึงกิจกรรมอ่านบทกวีการต่อสู้ภาคประชาชนจากสมาชิกกลุ่ม Artn’t ที่ทำให้เนื้อหาในการสื่อสารในนิทรรศการครั้งนี้เชื่อมโยงกับความรู้สึก และประสบการณ์ร่วมในประเด็นการต่อต้านอำนาจรัฐที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงเวลานี้ของสังคมไทย

太平成世 』{ Peace and Prosperity } คือ นิทรรศการจัดแสดงผลงานของศิลปินไร้ชื่อที่ใช้ศิลปะการเขียน หมึกพู่กัน (ink art) สื่อสารเป็นชุดภาพเขียนตัวอักษร งานเหล่านี้ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากองค์ประกอบทาง สายตาที่เขาได้พบ เฉกเช่นการเคลื่อนไหวในสังคม กราฟฟิตี้ ศิลปะบนถนน และศิลปะการเขียนพู่กันจีน สิ่งนี้คือ การตอบสนองทางกายภาพต่อบรรยากาศพลวัตสังคมฮ่องกงตั้งแต่ปี 2019 จนถึงขณะนี้ ศิลปินเลือกใช้เทคนิค หลากหลายบนผลงาน รอยปาดพู่กันจีนและภาพตัดปะ สร้างเสริมมิติของเส้น รูปร่าง พื้นผิว ซึ่งตรงต่อ ประวัติศาสตร์ร่วมที่เขาเผชิญ สัญลักษณ์ซ้อนทับกันคือการคลี่คลายให้เห็นถึงโลกตะวันออก-โลกตะวันตกที่ ผสมรวมกันผ่านประสบการณ์และการมองโลกของเขา
ในครึ่งปีหลังของปี 2019 ผลงานชุดภาพเขียนตัวอักษรจากสีหมึก(ภาพวาดและตัวอักษร) เป็นปฏิกิริยา ตอบโต้ทางศิลปะร่วมกับขบวนการต่อต้านร่างรัฐบัญญัติกฎหมายผู้หนีคดีและความช่วยเหลือร่วมกันทาง กฎหมายในคดีอาญา ค.ศ 2019 (Fugitive Offenders and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Legislation (Amendment) Bill 2019) ต่อมา ฮ่องกง ประกาศใช้กฎหมายความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ เมื่อวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2020 ซึ่งทำให้ผลงานมีความอ่อนไหวต่อสังคมและหมิ่นแหม่สุ่มเสี่ยงที่จะจัดแสดงในฮ่องกง ผลงาน ชุด Peace and Prosperity จึงปรากฏแสดงครั้งแรกที่ไต้หวัน เพื่อแสดงออกในแรงสร้างสรรค์อันไม่คิดจะอ่อน ข้อยอมแพ้ และในครั้งที่สองนิทรรศการนี้จึงจาริกถึงที่นี่ – เชียงใหม่
ผลงานชุดนี้จึงเป็นการฉายซ้อนกันไปมาระหว่างการเคลื่อนไหวของสองประเทศในเอเชีย ซึ่งพลุ่งพล่าน เล็ดลอดออกจากการถูกกดทับทางสภาพเศรษฐกิจ สังคม การเมืองไปพร้อม ๆ กัน ความสัมพันธ์ทางการ เคลื่อนไหวไม่เพียงหยุดอยู่แค่สองประเทศ แต่ยังคงแผ่ขยายไปทั่วภูมิภาค ยกระดับให้คนรุ่นใหม่สัมผัสความ เจ็บปวดและโอบอุ้มความหวังร่วมกันโดยมีวัฒนธรรมเพลง ภาพยนตร์ กวี ประวัติศาสตร์ รวมไปถึงศิลปะ เป็น สิ่งหล่อหลอมและปลอบประโลมจิตใจ วัฒนธรรมเหล่านี้ถูกส่งต่อและแพร่ขยายจากโลกโซเชียลมีเดียมายัง พื้นที่ทางกายภาพ มายังข้างถนนหนทางที่เหล่ายุวชนยึดครองเป็นพื้นที่ของการต่อสู้ ได้ปรากฏร่องรอยแห่งการ เรียกร้อง และยังคงมีร่องรอยนี้เกิดขึ้นในปัจจุบัน
นิทรรศการนี้จึงเป็นการเก็บเอาสัญลักษณ์ ภาพ และถ้อยคำจากสองประเทศมาให้เห็นประจักษ์ชัด บริบทที่เปลี่ยนจากริมถนนมาบนพื้นที่ปลอดภัยทำให้ชิ้นงานถูกสำรวจใหม่ในน้ำเสียงกับเวลาที่ต่างออกไป รอย ผุกร่อนและพังครืนที่ปรากฏ ความดิบเถื่อน หรือกระทั่งข้อความที่กระจัดกระจายไม่เป็นสัดส่วน ชักชวนให้หวน สำนึกกลับไปมองในหนทางที่เราก้าวผ่าน ย้ำเตือนว่าเมื่อเราเข้าใจสิ่งใดแล้ว เราจะไม่มีวันหวนย้อนกลับไป ขลาดเขลาซ้ำเดิมอีก!
『太平成世 』{ Peace and Prosperity } is an exhibition featuring in a series of Ink Art from the unnamed artist, born and based in Hong Kong. The artworks are inspired by the visual elements of his surroundings such as social movement, graffiti, street art, Chinese calligraphy. It is a response to the physical and social environment of 2019 Hong Kong and now. The unnamed artist employs a variety of techniques – Happening, Chinese brush work and collage to create a layer of lines, shapes and texture through which he shares his story.
The layering of the symbols is in an unraveling of different worlds and experiences, some of them Eastern, and some Western style.
From the second half of 2019, the created series of ink tone (painting and calligraphy) artworks illustrates the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill movement, anti-amendment movement against Hong Kong. On the first of July 2020, Hong Kong enacted the Hong Kong national security law. Hence, this work was sensitive to the subject matter and could not be exhibited in Hong Kong from then on. The “Peace and Prosperity” calligraphy and painting exhibition was first exhibited in Taiwan showcasing his unyielding creative fighting spirit. Here comes the time when this radical work arrive in Chiang Mai, exhibiting in collaboration with Artn’t
This series of works is a projection of social movements–a burst of people’s rage amidst political and socioeconomic oppression, the experience shared among the people of the two Asian countries. The movement has sprung geographically all over the region. Arts and cultures in forms of music, movie, poem, history have been found to be mediums of connections in the shared pain and healing. Extended from social media, these mediums have been brought to life and can be traced on streets where these youth march to fight.
The exhibition reveals reconstruction and representation of revisited and recollected visuals, words and phrases–traces of the fight on the street in the two countries in a different temporal and spatial space. Traces of decay, rawness and scattered words and phrases metaphorically invite us to look back on the path we have walked through–a reminder that once we are awakened, we can never go back to sleep again.
